About Bulldog Models
Bulldog Models began during the first UK lockdown in 2020. What started as a simple design for a Tamiya glue holder, shared on Instagram, quickly grew into something much bigger. A fellow modeller spotted my post, asked if I could make one for them, and that was the spark that lit Bulldog Models.
Not long after, I was working on a 1:48 Eduard Spitfire and struggling to mask up the invasion stripes without the model moving around. Out of sheer frustration, I designed a jig to hold the aircraft steady. I posted it online — and it took off. The Aircraft Jig became an instant hit on Instagram, and within weeks we were swamped with orders.
To keep up, we bought more printers and converted our home garage into a 3D printing farm From there, Bulldog really started to take shape.
A Family-Run Workshop
Bulldog Models is run by us — a husband-and-wife team right out of our home.
- Chris handles the CAD design, new product development, and keeping our fleet of printers running smoothly.
- Sophie takes care of admin, customer service, and packaging, making sure every order goes out on time.
Between us, we cover every aspect of the business, from first sketch to final shipment.
What We Make
Over the years we’ve designed a wide range of tools to make bench time easier, including:
- The original Aircraft Jig (over 1,000 sold worldwide).
- Tamiya Glue Holders and accessories.
- Drawer units, paint toppers, and arch lights (currently being reworked and improved).
- The new All-Purpose Jig, designed to handle aircraft, ships, tanks, and more.
Everything we sell is designed, tested, and 3D printed in the UK, with practicality and durability in mind.
